Summer Food Crisis

The Quinn House Food Pantry has experienced an overwhelming need for more food to feed more families with children during this summer season. A recent article from AOL News states that 16 million children in our country are now facing a summer of hunger.  Children are not in school “feeding programs” and summer food programs from USDA feed fewer than one in five of total children qualified. Federal studies show that child hunger peaks during the summer.  Demand for food stamps is up; demand at the food banks is very high; and donations to these food banks are down.  Please help us make a difference for these children by donating the much needed items listed here.  Thank You!

While all food items are greatly appreciated, we are at “crisis levels” with the following items:

Canned meats (Tuna, Chicken, etc.)
Canned fruits (All Types)
Canned vegetables:
  green beans, green peas, corn
* Big Need for: pinto beans, pork n’ beans, White Northern etc.

Please visit our needs list also.

All items can be dropped off at our 120 South Perry Street location in downtown Lawrenceville.
