SPRINGTIME OUTREACH NEWS - April 1, 2010

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS to do here at The Quinn House is to go into our “Outreach Action Mode”.  Recently we received a call from a local church in Lawrenceville about a family in a stressful, emergency situation.   They were seeking help for a single Mom with five children who had just moved to Gwinnett County after losing her husband in a tragic death.    The local church was able to provide housing for this family and then called the Quinn House asking for additional help.  Before the day was over we had provided food boxes to the family from our licensed Food Pantry here on Perry Street in Lawrenceville. We also provided them with clothing and other household items for their new home. These items were donated to The Quinn House from our supporters in Gwinnett County and in turn, went to help a family like this one get a new start in life.  Your continuing support of donations to The Quinn House enables us to step up quickly when families in crisis are referred to us through local agencies. And that is what we love to do!

EASTER FOOD BOXES for our Southern Neighbors - The Quinn House Food Pantry once again, traveled from Lawrenceville into middle South Georgia and delivered over 30 Food Boxes that contained the food to provide a large Dinner for families in need.  These boxes held large hams along with all the “trimmings” and side dishes to provide a family with a traditional Easter Day Dinner. Your donated food items to us always helps to provide these families with extra joy on a special day – in addition to those families you help us feed in Gwinnett County all year.
